The COVID-19 pandemic has left a significant number of Hawaii’s employees without work, wondering how to cover rent and applying for unemployment claims, SBA loans, and other assistance.

In order to flatten the eviction curve, a multi-stakeholder team convened to develop a Rapid Response Landlord Tenant Mediation Program through Hawai‘i County’s two non-profit mediation centers: West Hawai‘i Mediation Center and Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center. The program’s goal is to provide timely conflict prevention and resolution services to commercial and residential landlords and tenants.

By providing neutral third parties to assist both landlords and tenants, the rapid response mediation program brokers frank dialogue about finances before bills pile up and situations escalate.

We are grateful to have the support of the Hawaii Community Foundation, West Hawaii Association of Realtors, and the County of Hawaii. But we can’t do this without the sustainable support of community members. Please consider donating today to help support this much-needed work.

Call us today if this service may benefit you!
